I do know that the race will be taking place almost a month from now, but I think this is yet another big race that can make a statement in the championship.

Lorenzo will be the defending winner of this grand prix - the first he's ever won in the MotoGP class. Of course, we don't know who's going to be fast until the warm ups, but if Rossi beats him out, Lorenzo will probably have his spirit killed significantly for the season.

The races left in the championship are actually significant ones for the championship. Rossi is a long time favorite at Phillip Island - he's probably even more popular than Casey Stoner. Rossi is also going to defend a win at Malaysia… and Lorenzo has another 'home' race at Valencia, which should be quite tense between him and Dani Pedrosa.

Exciting championship we'll start to have.

Ill say, yes. ROSSI on a DUCATI will just be mean.!! If his allowed to redesign it though. he knows hw to work the brakes.

This was the GP that changed everything in 2008. What can possibly happen this year?

-Stoner's coming into this race very seriously as it was his biggest loss of the season. He's very solid to get any good result in this race even if he doesn't win. I'm not sure what's going on with his exhaustion, but the hot weather won't be so nice.

-No one really knows if Lorenzo will be fast. Laguna is one of those tracks where the fastest lines are harder to figure out even though the layout is simple-looking. He's been great all season, but is he going ot ride well at Laguna?

-Rossi is the man the beat. He's got the biggest win in this GP and expected to defend it, and he's also the leader in points. Right now, Rossi probably knows his way around best - even better than Nicky Hayden. Rossi did say that getting back-to-back wins from Assen to Laguna will be hard since the races are not spaced far apart. So anyone who was lazy in the last race might come much stronger in Laguna.

-There is definately a chance for another close race, but don't expect it to necessarily happen. I think Pedrosa's going to come up strong and be in the lead battle.
